The Financial Services Authority ("FSA"/ "the Authority") hereby issues this statement pursuant to section 28 of the Financial Services Authority Act, 2013, following public concerns and certain media publications relating to SQ Sey Ltd ("the Licensee"), a Securities Dealer licensed under section 45 of the Securities Act, 2007 (Licence No. SD024).
Members of the public are advised that the FSA treats concerns of this nature with the utmost diligence, and the Authority confirms that it is actively reviewing these matters in accordance with its statutory powers and established procedures.
As this matter remains under active review and having regard to the Authority's confidentiality obligations under sections 20 and 21 of the Financial Services Authority Act, 2013, the FSA is not in a position to disclose further details at this time, as doing so could compromise the integrity of the review process. The Authority requests the patience and understanding of the public and all stakeholders while this process is carried out.
The FSA wishes to assure members of the public that it remains committed to safeguarding the integrity, stability and reputation of the Seychelles' financial services sector, and to protecting the interests of consumers and the wider public.
Upon completion of the review, and subject to any applicable legal or confidentiality requirements, the FSA shall advise members of the public of the outcome and of any required steps to be taken, through official communication channels.
