This notice is issued by the Financial Services Authority ("FSA") pursuant to section 4(1)(m) of the Financial Services Authority Act, 2003.
It has come to the attention of the FSA, through information available in the public domain, that an entity operating under the name Ascent General Insurance Company, also referred to as “AGI”, is holding itself out as being registered in Seychelles.
The FSA hereby informs the public that it has not identified any company registered in Seychelles under the name Ascent General Insurance Company. The entity is also not licensed, authorised or otherwise regulated by the FSA to undertake insurance business or any other licensable financial services activity in or from within Seychelles.
Accordingly, the FSA strongly urges members of the public to exercise caution when dealing with or considering any services offered by Ascent General Insurance Company or its representatives.
