Legal Officer
Legal Section
Job Purpose: Provide legal opinions and inputs regarding the laws administered by the organization in order to ensure that organization’s policies and regulations are aligned to all legal and regulatory norms with no negative impact to the organization’s reputation and operations.
Summary of Duties:
- Provide legal opinions and inputs regarding the laws administered by the organization.
- Liaise with the Attorney General’s Office and the organization’s lawyer to seek relevant legal opinion and interpretation.
- Assist in the drafting and review of contracts, agreements, MOUs, and other legal documentations.
- Assist in the drafting and review of new legislations, cabinet memorandums, codes, guidelines, etc.
- Liaise with the organization’s lawyer in case of legal representation and attend court sessions where necessary.
- Keep abreast with current legislations impacting the financial services industry.
- Perform any other relevant duties assigned by management.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree in Law
Salary:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
