(Three years fixed term contract)
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the FSA.
Job Summary:
- The Deputy CEO shall assist and support the CEO in the implementation of the decisions of the Board for the effective management of the FSA;
- Act in the absence of the Chief Executive Officer;
- Support the CEO in setting the overall strategic direction of the organisation;
- Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team;
- Monitor services and track progress to ensure delivery of set plans;
- Provide recommendations to the CEO on significant policy decisions;
- Develop and maintain effective systems of consultation with all stakeholders to achieve the strategic objectives.
Education and experience:
- A first degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Business Administration, Accounting or a business-related field plus 5 years relevant working experience at senior management; OR
- At least 8 years of experience at senior management level in financial services;
- Understanding at a very senior level of supervision and compliance in the financial sector;
Qualities:
- Strong competencies working with financial performance data, including interpreting, summarising and communicating high-level output;
- Excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills.
- Strong and clear communication skills on matters of policy;
- Thorough knowledge of modern management principles, practices and methods;
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
